Christian Koan: “Where God Dwells”

Paul came up to Peter and asked, “Is God only in Heaven?”

Peter shook his head.

“Then where?”

At this, Peter pointed to Paul’s heart. Then he smiled and pointed at his own chest.

Touched by this, Paul continued. “And what is God?”

After a moment’s hesitation, Peter stepped forward and took Paul by both arms. He smiled and then embraced his fellow Apostle.

“As the Father embraces you,” Peter concluded, “go and do likewise to your neighbor. That is the whole of the law and our faith.”
